Kroměříž

A visit of Kromeříž is interesting mainly due to the historical center that was repaired in the nineties and is greatly popular. On the Big Square you can find traditional arcade, the Archbishop´s palace standing next to the square is together with the flowery gardens and the Chateau inscribed on UNESCO World Heritage list.

But it is not only a center that attracts tourists and is worth a visit. There is also four historically valuable churches in Kroměříž - St. Maurice church, church of St. John the Baptist, Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and church of St. Cyril and Methodius. Unique is the largest collection of coins in Central Europe which is located in the bishop´s mint. For those who are fond of wine we can recommend the Archbishop´s wine cellars.

Nearby Kroměříž you will find a park Záhlinice ponds, where you can see cormorants and also beavers were landed here.
